Stock Market Weekly update -Oct 16th

Last week saw some extreme moves after the CPI report, first dropping, then rallying by a massive amount to end the day, only to be followed the next day with another drop. We ended the week almost flat. Next week we get the first busy week of earnings, to include TSLA & NFLX. Also October Options expiration -another big one like September.

The long term weekly 'downtrend' from the January high continues in the SPX (weekly 20MA)...

The Dollar was up a bit, with a continued strong move against the Yen

Bonds dropped again/higher rates -12th week?  The 10year yield closed above 4%. 

Gold was down, as was Oil.


...and the debt clock now shows over $31 TRILLION!

What to Expect in the Markets Next Week -more earnings & Options expiration.

Bitcoin/Crypto was flat again, still bouncing around 20k
