Stock Market Weekly update -Sep 1
We closed near 5648 on the SPX, around 2 points lower than the prior week, so almost at all time highs but no big change! The DOW and the NYA powered to new all time highs again, but the Small-caps lagged a bit. We’ll see what next week brings, maybe we’ll try for new all time highs on the SPX again? NVDA earnings were stellar but the stock slumped -Call buyers were disappointed!
The US Dollar saw a turnaround week higher! The 10yr Interest Rate was up a bit.
The 10 year Interest rate -was up a bit, but still holding under 4%
The Dollar -rallied
Gold -was flat
Oil -dropped again
Bitcoin/Crypto: -dropped (Fri 30th Futures expiration?)
New all time highs: AXP, JPM, KO, WMT, UNH, BK, BRK.B, AZN, BSX, NFLX, TXN, ALL, AFL, CB, PGR, HIG, FI, NOW, LMT -multiple DOW stocks! -multiple Insurance companies! …and more
ALL time lows: BIG
Pops & Drops/5 day movers: , SMCI, DLTR, PDD dropped
Earnings movers: AFRM popped, DG, ULTA, dropped
Percent of stocks above the 50 day Moving Average: dropped from 67 to 66%
Percent of S&P 500 stocks above the 50 day Moving Average: 81%
Next week: …Continued rally?
