Stock Market Weekly update -Nov 10

We saw a HUGE rally week, after the election results! The SPX made it all the way up

to 6010 then closed around 5995. The Nasdaq 100 finally made new all time highs, as did

the DOW which touched 44000 before pulling back to close around 43989. The Small-caps

saw the biggest index rally.  

Bitcoin also saw a huge rally to new all time highs. Long term Interest rates climbed,

then pulled back.

Gold dropped as the Dollar rallied for a 6th week! Next week we get another CPI report.


Indexes popped after the election results.



 We’ll see some more volatility this week with the Elections & a Fed Rate decision.

  We saw lots of ‘chop’ last week, ending just below where we started, with tariff uncertainty still hanging over the market. The DOW lagged as it dumped on Thursday after UNH reported earnings. Long term rates pulled back a bit while Gold continued to rocket higher, closing near $3326. This week we get more earnings including GOOGL & TSLA,  04/06:  Hedging against losses… How? If you got ahead of the tariff announcement on Monday Mar 31st using an Inverse ETF like SQQQ (SPXS, SOXS, etc) , it was up approximately 30% that week! Stock Market Weekly update -Nov 24

  The SPX recovered from the prior week drop, moving from 5870 to close on Friday at 5970. The other indexes also rallied, with the DOW closing at the prior all time high from 2 weeks ago. Long term Interest rates stayed mostly flat as the Dollar continued to rally. Gold had a big recovery rally. NVDA reported blowout numbers again, but the stock dropped! TGT tanked after earnings, still dropping since its peak in Aug 2021. WMT popped on earnings to another all time high (a DOW stock rallying like a tech stock since its bottom in May 2022) -this was its 4th earnings pop this year. This will be a short trading week because of the Thanksgiving holiday. Stock Market Weekly update -Jul 20

  The S&P500 was up slightly, hitting new al time highs and closing just under 6300. while the Nasdaq100 closed just over 23,000, and NVDA popped to close at a market cap of $4.2 trillion, now the largest company in the world. PLTR also hit another all time high.  TSM popped, but NFLX pulled back after reporting earnings. Some of the big banks pulled back as well. Bitcoin pulled back to 118,000 after peaking at 123k last weekend. Ethereum on the other hand saw a huge 22% rally for the week, after rallying 16% the prior week! The GENIUS Act was finally passed, which outlines a regulatory framework for Stablecoins . Headline CPI year-over-year increased 2.7%. Retail Sales: Increased slightly. Stocks still look pretty extended after this huge rally from the April lows, so be careful and don't forget to take some profits!
