Stock Market Weekly update -Sep 20

 We pulled back a bit in the indexes last week, except for the Nasdaq. All have been trending down for the past 5 weeks. The Semis have been mostly trending down since the June all time high. AMD had a nice rally though, as did Bitcoin. Crypto Altcoins are also seeing huge rallies (pic below)! META rallied for a 4th week, and MPC, VLO, and PSX continued their multi-month rally from January! MCD has been trending down for 7 months now. 

Oil closed at around $100 again, after hitting $106. And the Fed raised Interest Rates by .25 points for the first time in 3 years.

The week ahead could be a quiet one  -no major events -watching Oil prices & Interest rates.

The market dropped for a 3rd week, tho it recovered a bit on Friday, just as it did the prior week! The AI bubble could be near exhaustion here. Small-caps again dropped & this time closed below the huge drop we saw on 10/10.  Crypto had another big drop for the week, with BTC dropping below 100k to around 95k. Gold rallied! Stock Market Weekly update -Nov 2

   The market gapped up to new all time highs again last week, but then gave up most of those gains, leaving a ‘weekly’ tail bar on the SPX chart, a possible exhaustion signal (chart below). Small-caps dropped for the week.  AMZN, GOOGL, & CAT popped after earnings, MSFT, META, CMG, & BA dropped. The Fed cut interest rates by .25% as expected.  Gold dropped for a 2nd week.  No Jobs report next week as the government shutdown continues.   Mega Caps Daily chart  -Uptrend -Downtrend Crypto AAPL NVDA TSM GOOGL TSLA AVGO  AMZN? Stock Market Weekly update -Oct 19

  The market tried to recover from the previous Friday’s big drop but has failed so far, except for the Small-caps. which had a massive rally, but then pulled back down on fears coming from the regional banking sector.  The big Banks reported good earnings but the XLF financial sector ETF dropped for a 3rd week (regional bank concerns). AMD hit another all time high. RGTI quantum stock popped then dropped for the week, leaving a long ‘topping tail’ on the weekly chart. Gold closed at another all time high after rallying for a 9th week, tho we saw a pullback on Friday -could be topping out in this area. Crypto fell for a 2nd week. Oil has been in  a downtrend, and fell some more last week.  Long term Interest rates pulled back again, and have been in a downtrend since May.    The VIX popped, then dropped on Friday!
